Sometimes the most interesting local story starts around a table, rather than on a stage. Wirral Council has highlighted art classes delivered by its Lifelong Learning Service for Men Too, a Birkenhead charity offering wellbeing and social support to adult men.
Held at The Lauries Centre, the programme builds on earlier short courses and gives participants space to practise creative skills together. The council’s account includes a member describing increased confidence, new connections and the experience of having his work exhibited at Birkenhead Park.
The news was shared ahead of World Mental Health Day on 10 October. For readers curious about joining a class, the useful next step is checking the Lifelong Learning course information and Men Too directly. Availability and eligibility belong to the organisers; a creative class should not be treated as a substitute for professional care when that is needed.
